Localization is a challenging task

As you might know that, i'm a contributor to Fedora Translation Project, and today i want to confess something.

Translating or Localizing the software (The strings) is a serious job, and i want to confess; it is very challenging (& hard).

My native language is Urdu (ISO 639-1 Language Code: ur) and besides the fact, that i speak this since my childhood; it is really very difficult. Basically this is due to the fact; that we have absorbed so much loan words and slang; i my self find it very difficult to call upon a word from vocabulary; to fit exactly, with the context.

This is simply because, we (i am) are more globalized (or induced by g18n) so we are going far away from our roots & our language; and this thing is really sad. I somehow feel hollow.

Another reason is the scarcity of language resources; besides an Oxford dictionary & Google translate, we Urdu speakers don't have quality resources to help-us-out specifically in this situation.

If i try to persuade some renowned writer or scholar of the idea; they find it rubbish & childish.

Any how this is just some babble-word, i need the self-motivation & that is only what i have right now at the moment.
