What forced me to leave my hometown

When I was growing up, I saw my father working really hard to make the both ends meet; but he was not so successful. Even when they tried to establish their business they failed due to limited capital and small consumer market.

My father ended up doing auctions in wholesale vegetable market cum part time accountant. They tried their best considering the limitations imposed or being forced to survive along with the family, earning bread and butter and try to give best possible education to children in available resources.

Most of the people in my hometown are attached to agriculture or they serve in armed forces, because Chakwal is not an industrial district only a few cement factories and some micro-scale industry, which are not adequate enough to provide employment to nearby residents, especially these cement factories are highly automated.

I was pursuing my undergraduate degree in business administration and was in forth semester when my father, the sole breadwinner, became severely ill, and I had to leave my studies to support my family financially by doing and getting "Any kind of work or job". Unfortunately my father is unable to recover, even till this day.

I started to work in a pharmacy as a cashier and tried to complete my education but effort was all in vain. Till this day I'm not able to achieve my educational goals. I worked for several years, doing small and to some extent weird and odd jobs, I had to bear this because I had to support my family, especially I have had to sacrifice for my younger siblings, they were young and studying. I sacrificed a very long period in time-verse of mine.

When my youngest brother completed (partially) his education, luckily he got two job offers at a time from the very best in industry. I encouraged him to join the best, because getting a good job at the right time is a challenge for anyone in their professional life.

For the first time, I took a sigh of relief, now I decided to catch an opportunity to upscale my life-style and to follow my career ambitions, this was the right time because my load was being shared and opportunity was in leaving my hometown and I left. I had left hunger, starvation, unemployment, inept bosses, indisposition of people.

Nowadays I'm working as a procurement specialist in a construction firm and I look forward to move further. I am optimistic and focused towards my goal, I really have a very long way to go.
