It’s a Unix system, I know this.

My interest in Unix like systems developed at a very early stage of my life.

I used to visit my grandmother in summer vacations, where sometimes my uncle would setup a VCR system, so we could enjoy watching one or two movies.

He was a science fiction addict and we equally loved to watch along with extended family.

At that time I was at five or something, and I watched Jurassic Park.

To be honest most of the screen time I was terrified, but I can still recall one line from the movie and the memory is still bright, it said “It’s a Unix system, I know this” and this one line had a deep impact on me.

This one phrase nurtured my interest in computers; especially in Linux kernel based operating systems and their behind the scene working systems.

This developed deep understanding of software development lifecycle and I experimented with numerous components.

I used to play with plain hypertexts and IIS, then I moved to VB and ASPs.

I explored PHP and discovered various frameworks. I cannot recall when was my first website project was gone live.

On the sidelines I got hands on experience with Linux based servers, systems engineering and all that.

I even tasted enterprise software and forked one ERP system to extend functionalities.

The journey so far has been really interesting for me, and I try to share my learning experience.

Now things are changing really fast, it seems that AI would take over the world, right now when I am writing this GPT4 has been released.

My plan is to experiment with different AI models and to work on some suitable candidate and to train it.

But my love for Linux and open source software will not go anywhere, I would continue my journey and keep-on experimenting.
